Good for business meetings

I have had tried this place number of times, but somehow never wrote a review. And this one is specially for Amrita -- really appreciate her keen interest in the reviews and patience (!).

When you reach the place, do not enter the hotel -- the coffee shop is on the left side of the Old Oberoi entrance. One is awed by the expansive spread of the food -- tonnes of varieties. The soups are my all time favorite -- so I would be biased to comment. But the least I can say is do not miss them. You can go for the buffet with good choice -- Indian meal is usually on the heavier side. I prefer to go for the salads and it is good enough in itself -- the variety is so large.

The place serves a larger choice of desserts -- something which is not there at other places. There is fruit salad, icecream, choco prep. as well as mithais. I have tried all of them more or less -- would pick up the mithais as my favorite here. I found them as delicious in taste as looks.

Service is prompt and to the mark. I would pick up this place for working lunch -- is easy to reach for me and allows to get on with business conversation -- something which is not possible at all other places because of lack of privacy.

The view from the corner tables is always worthwhile -- the Marine Drive, the sea and especially in evening. It is worth a try.

Price range is on the higher side -- Buffet will be Rs. 500 per head.

Recommended.
