Unexpected is what I can truly call this movie.
Not being a major english movie buff, my friends generally pulled me along to this one. The movie quite old that even mouthshut has moved it to non current.
A football coach gets killed in the middle of the stadium in the match. His huge diamond ring - the pink panther is stolen. The chief of police puts a dim witted inspector to the case, hoping to divert attention from the personal investigation that he is doing.
Shall not divulge any amount of story further :D...
What ensues is a laugh riot.
Steve Martin as the so called dim witted inspector has done superbly. His craziness seems quite natural. Beyonce has no major role... but is passable. Martin’s secretary is equally crazy, and looks the same too... And his assistant detective, who is calm and sensible also plays his role well.
You sit in the hall, forget your worries from the first dialogue.. and the juggernut continues till the final names screen. Wonderfully entertaining, though dont apply too much of thinking and logic.
