This is a new show which kicked off yesterday at 19 GMT. It is a show about what are the prerequisites for riding in general and show jumping in particular. Two rival stables each with brilliantlly skilled girls gear up for the ultimate national show. What we see here is not total human domination but guidance. The spirit is never broken and respect is given as a partner. This is well reciprocated. Despite suffering from a greivous eye injury, one horse made his owner proud with a perfect jump sequence. The others didn’t have it so smooth. Many horses stumbled at the last jump, some refused to take it and others caused injury to their riders. Still, no love was lost and these girls continued in hope for the coming week. In this show we get a display of skill, firmness, guidance, mutual respect, discipline and to a certain extent love for a giant pet.
