We all love music of some kind, whether it be rock and roll, gospel, country, classical etc. And I am no different.
Recently I sang a song at my church titled “When You Believe” preformed by Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston from the sound track “The Prince of Egypt”. I was looking through the list here on the site and found that there was a place to write a review about the soundtrack. So I thought I would do just that.
The Prince of Egypt is the story of Moses and how he became a servant of God. How he delivered the Hebrews from Egypt, the Ten Plagues, Crossing of the Red Sea, The Burning Bush, his anger, his frustrations, his joys and many other events. The music coincides with these stories.

Please note that not all songs have a performer listed on the album.
Each of the songs tells a wonderful story about the title of the song. You will have to listen to it the soundtrack to get those stories and the message that comes alongs with it!
Some of the songs are long and some are not. The soundtrack is approximately 30 minutes or so long. And I have to admit some of the songs I do not care about while others are my favorites. I suppose that is the way it works.

How I Feel
I loved the movie and I love the soundtrack. My children enjoy it as well. it was a huge shock to hear Mama sing in Church. It had been a very long time since I had sung a solo of any kind. And I was most grateful to the Lord for the Blessing of Serving Him and Praising Him via song.
The soundtrack is available everywhere: online, in the stores, at the Flea Markets. The cost varies from place to place so shop around.
There is also a pamphlet that comes with the soundtrack that has all the songs listed in their entirety, which was very helpful to me. Not all albums offer this pleasure.
I have the CD version of the soundtrack, well actually it is my daughters but I borrow it from her all the time. I listen to it more than she does anyways, so why should I not borrow it!
I found the CD cover to be very attractive in browns, blacks and gold and it is very easy to locate amongst my collection of CD. But I usually try to put the in ABC order for easier locating.
If you have never heard this soundtrack, buy it, borrow it, check it out of the local library, but get a copy and listen to it. It is simply wonderfully done and brilliantly made. It will light up your day and that’s a promise!
I hope that this has helped in some kind of way.
God Bless!
