A well spent day

I am a sucker for Unrealistic Stuff. On screen, that is! Well, The Princess Diary fits the bill, more or less. Especially when I needed to get away from the Real World after having spent a gruelling two weeks working night and day on my maiden music album releasing this Valentines Day.

Let me state this at the very onset that there’s no novelty value in this sweet-n-sour movie. Yet, it is very much watchable for its very-apt star cast and some fine music. Though, I must add that The Princess Diary suffers from a Never Been Kissed syndrome to quite an extent. But, I must sigh-to-the-fact that the Diya Mirza look-alike protagonist is much more cuter than the awkwardly gawky Drew Barrymore of Never..... Infact, this one’s divinely Beautiful.

The plot is thin and laughable. My view-point is that the director wanted it to be so. But anyway. A highly confused-n-unpopular teenager gets the dream ’opportunity’ to be the Princess of Genovia, a small but ’’proud’’ (That’s what the press says) country between France and Spain.

Now, whether she accepts the ’plum’ offer or not, is for you to find out. Yeah, I can tell you this much that the entire experience of being blessed with the Blue Blood helps her in finding out as to who she was, who her true friends were, and yes True Love. And the moony feeling it generates.

The Princess Diary, a well spent day, after a hard day’s night!
