Logistics form an integral part of any operation.
Maybe the guys at professional courier service didnt learn this.
Why did I select this particular companys service?
I suffered from a lapse of reason that lasted for more than a moment. Describe the good and the bad aspects of this company service?
Good -> Their office was open!!
Bad -> They are not able to speak to customers, they do not listen to what you have to say, the staff is incompetent and absolutely useless. No one is willing to tell you the truth. I helps to know if a parcel/document has not been sent on time. I helps to work with a person/company who can own up to their mistakes and take steps to correct themselves.
Would you recommend this service? For whom?
Recommended to ->
a) For anyone who has loads of cash....wants to waste it.
b) Someone who wants to ensure that a package should not be delivered on time.
c) Someone who wants to ensure that a package should not be delivered AT ALL.
d) Someone who suffers from lunacy, idiocy or is an imbecile.
Describe any interactions/experiences with this company worth sharing?
My family mailed a document containing a draft for my admission fees on Saturday, 6 December 2008 with an assurance from professional that it would reach me in pune by 3 pm on Monday, 8 December . Today is 11 December 2008, the parcel is yet to find its way...(guess the delivery boy crawled his way from Mumbai to pune and got lost along the way). So, I called the office up to enquire what went wrong?....I found out that it was the famous Murphy of the Murphys law who handled my document all along the way.
The following was my experience
1) The document was not sent on Saturday, it was sent on Monday after my family called and reminded the people at the office.
2) The staff at pune are too busy to answer the phone
3) When they eventually did..they needed 4 people to come on the phone and answer a simple question "Where is my document?"...each one had me repeat the same questions....what is it, when was it sent, where is it going in pune, etc. and replied....we cant find it in the system..so please call mumbai.
4) Mumbai said...we need half an hour to find out where your document is...half an hour later...the person who answered the phone had gone for lunch. (I havent been able to speak to him since..so hes probably still having lunch or taking a nap after lunch).
5) I then managed to speak to person in pune who said...their office does not have the document and I was to call another office as it was my job to check and not his.
6) the number provided was incorrect and was meant for documents to be sent from pune..the lady there gave me another series of numbers.
7) After umpteen number of attempts the phone rang off the hook and landed on the hands of a gentleman to hadnt gone to school to learn what courtesy is. He quite curtly said..."Your document does not appear on the system" and slammed the phone on me.
8) At about 3 pm on Monday, I was told by the D.P. Road office in pune that my document was with them...but was not supposed to go there. They did not know why the document came to them....there also was no scanning done for the document and it was not present in the system. They should be able to deliver it by tuesday afternoon but it would be better if I could come and pick it up from them or arrange for it to be done.
9) I said that it would not be possible and need it to be delivered ASAP. The earliest they could deliver it would be tuesday afternoon.
10) Having no choice (I was on my way to mumbai) I asked them to deliver it.
11) Seeing no delivery happen by 2pm on tuesday..I called to find out that they thought I would come to pick up the document.
12) They have now promised delivery by noon on wednesday.
13) I asked for a number for complaints..they did not know who is in charge and what number to give...after applying a bit of pressure the lady provided me with a number of Mr Roy Thomas who is the manager.
14) Mr Thomas said that No action can be taken and the service industry has no system of this sort to ensure sevice is good.
15) Im hoping that people who have had a bitter experience like me would be able to take this matter further and provide me with an address or telephone number of their Customer Service Head in India.
