My friend Nimesh Gupta booked a courier consignment bearing Consignment Note Number GGN50710295 from Gurgaon to Bhubaaneswar via Sheetla Express counter courier services at Sector-18, Gurgaon, NCR on 1st Nov’17 paying Rs.600/- for a parcel weighing approx. 10 Kgs. On tracking the consignment on 6th November when I didn’t get the parcel, I found that it has reached Bhubaneswar on 6th Nov’ but was not delivered to me.
I didn’t get the consignment the whole week and on Sat’11th Nov’17 I thought enough time has elapsed and these courier fellows can be so negligent. They were not dispatching the parcel through their local delivery guys through the entire week from Monday to Saturday when I reside in Bhubaneswar itself. When I searched their local office number in Google and got their local office number, I dialled and found that even though the number was ringing during office hours, no one received the call. I thought it was enough and I should take the matter into my own hands and get my parcel on my own.
I reached their office with much difficulty as Google maps was showing all wrong directions and upon reaching their office I found two Lady receptionists at the counter. Upon questioning why wasn’t my parcel delivered for a whole week when the consignment has reached Bhubaneswar on Monday itself, they told me that they don’t have sufficient delivery boys.
What the Hell? My questions to the Management of Professional Couriers is:
Q.1)Why have these guys opened a courier office when you don’t have delivery guys to distribute the consignments?
Q.2) Why can’t your office in a State capital have good office people, to atleast inform your customers/patrons that their Parcels/consignments have arrived. The person to whom the parcel belongs can himself/herself collect their articles. You can’t even do This?
What horrible services you do provide.
