There are two kinds of people in this world, One, Who wait for there dreams and Two who go for there dreams, The Pursuit of happYness talks of the second.
Direction: The plot line is simple and the execution of the plot ad the subplot is worth praising. Director tries and potrays all the characters very well.Instead of a small storyline he manages to induce various elements of humor and emotion very well. The father-son relationship has been excellently potrayed. The dialouges too are worthy and the style of narration [by Will] is inspiring.
Acting: Will Smith gives the most astonishing performance of his career. He does not fail in any of the sequences. His real life son Jade Christopher Smith also excels in his small part, He really depicts the Father-Son relationship very well. Miss Newton gives a fine performance too. And all the other supporting cast which comprises of the workers of Dean Witter, The Begger.etc.

Positives: Most of the scenes featuring Will Smith are excellent. The cinemetogrphy is plain yet with good angles, The background score is equally good.
Negatives: The movies legnth could really be easiely cut off by 15-20 minutes. The movie has some parallel stories which only add irritation like, Will’s wife in search of a job, Day care scenes, Parking ticket sequence.etc.

Overall^. The movie has been realeased a long time back, Still if seen, It is going to be liked by most of the people who like quality cinema watching.In a word "EXCELLENT"
