I was pretty disappointed with national best seller "The Immortals of Meluha".except the last few chapters, I had found the book to be really painful. But the second book of the trilogy seems to be much more matured than the first one. I still feel that the author is no match for writers like Manfredi who excel in writing historical fiction. But I like the new take on mythology and the fast pace of the writing. This book has no nonsensical attempt to write history/mythology with modern touch. The story begins from where it left in the first book. Shiva in search of Nagas go all the way to Branga and fight with Parushuram. Yes, whatever mythology you had read, its time to forget it. While Shiva was in Branga, Sati, his wife, met the Naga Queen and Lord of People. From their the author has tied up the various mythological characters beautifully. Am sure one will enjoy the new take on mythology.
This book like the previous one, has an undertone of philosophy and modern day politics. Overall its a good read.
