First of all, we decided to go to this place since it was a coffee day resort and the pictures looked pretty inviting. We were to go to chikamangalur from bangalore and we left around 2pm. We reached Serai around 8pm ( after stopping for a break in Hassan). We had reserved a room in prior, and the staff called us at regular intervals to guide us to their resort.
Thanks to their clear instructions, we reached the resort without any major hassles... It was my birthday that day, and I was really exhausted by the time we reached the place.but the minute we reached the place, I felt the long journey was completely worth every minute.. It was simply breathtaking. The reception was pretty prompt and we were guided to the bar, for a welcome drink.
By that time, our luggage was taken care of and we were taken to our rooms... The room was simply awesome... The bedroom was really inviting, the bathroom complimenting it, with the same size as that of the bedroom. The room was fronted by a swimming pool. We have two options while choosing the rooms, either with swimming pool or with a jacuzzi. We took the one with a pool. The service was excellent, and the staff was very attentive. We had taken a 2N/3D package, and we went to the coffee estates there. Due to the foggy weather, we couldnt go for the trek.
There is no places much to see nearby... go there only if you want to do nothing but relax. The spa is clean, cant comment on it since we did not use its services. food is also pretty good, the buffets pretty lavish and an vast choice of desserts along with the famous ccd cappuchino, at the end of each meal... Good work out there, worth checking out... cost is on the higher end.. but the good places are always are... !! I felt like Alice in wonderland all the while I was there... :) Ideal for a romantic getaway and for a family outing..
