An honest and flowering attempt

After going through a couple of bad movie experiences, I really had a positive vibe about this movie. And it turned out to be good exposure of this new plot. The idea was both noble and novice. The story got potential to keep you intact to your seat. It was an emotional and adventurous production.

The performance of Asa butterfield, the main lead was phenomenal and grasping. He was exceptional in his portrayal of a Marsian and justified his alienage towards earthly things and beings. Although he was curious to find his parents, he accepted and handled things well. Unlike people on earth, he was honest enough to admit his love for the only girl he knows on this planet. The movie also successfully depicted the human tendency to complicate simple things in life.

Brit Robertson has also done a good job by playing the socially deprived girlfriend. She gave her heart out for helping this boy and also doubt the unbelievable narrative of Asa. Yet she displayed the desires of a normal girl.

Gary Oldman plays an over excited scientist and often confronted his anxieties towards the success of the mission at any cost. But at times, he seems to be losing control over things.

Soundtrack helps the movie to accelerate and add to its credibility. The background music brought practicality to the story. It appropriately showcased various moods and feelings.

Cinematography was awesome and different situations were delivered through good handling of camera angles. The Aerial shots were amazing and compatible to the plot.
