Here’s a summary of the plot: -
Viktor Navirski finds himself on the wrong end of a nasty technicality while en route to America. His passport was issued from a country which, during its upheaval, ceased to exist in an official capacity. Unauthorised to leave Kennedy airport upon his arrival and unable to return home, Viktor finds himself inside the terminal’s international transit lounge.

The terminal is a completely charming look at one foreign man’s unfortunate situation, stuck in an airport without a country. Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks have made this a sweet and delicate comedy, a film to make us hold our breaths.
