I am a regular reader of TOI, and nowadays the reports of the newspaper seems devoid of facts and seems the reporters type the reports from the confines of their airconditioned office. I will give two instances.
*First Instance:*
In the recently concluded Minicipal Corporation of Delhis elections many Residents Welfare Associations(RWA) had put up their candidates. After the election results were declared TOI on 10/04/2007 promptly reported on front page that none of the RWA supported candidates had won. I would have accepted this false news happily, but in my own constituency(Khichripur) the RWA supported candidate Mr Vinod Kumar had won. Funny part is TOI had published in a report few days before election where it had mentioned Mr Vinod Kumars name as the candidate put up by RWA. Seems like left hand doesnt know what right hand knows:)
*Second Instance:
*Last sunday(10/04/2007) I read that "The Namesake" is going on at PVR Spice, Noida at 9.30 PM. When I reached the hall the ticket salesman told me the timing has been screwed by TOI, the real time was 10.40 pm, so I wasted more than one hour wandering around all thanks to TOI.
Except the news about "who kissed whom" and "who wore what in which party", dont read TOI even if its for free, cause its highly unreliable
