The Times Of India is the paper I subscribe to and read regularly but I do that more out of necessity rather than preference.
The times is a tabloid in a newspaper format. The news coverage tries to concentrate on all the gory and bordering on obnoxious happenings in the city/state. If I need to know who all died in what all accidents, I know where to look.
Anybody who wants to commit a gruesome murder a months reading of times will help you in your modus operandi.
Now coming to why I read the Times even though I have such strong feelings. There is nothing else. If you are in Bangalore Deccan Herald is so so, The New Indian Express hardly has any reading matter and paper quality is bad to be polite. The Hindu is good but too difficult to read on week days (I enjoy the Hindu on weekends esp. the supplements).
The ads in times combined with the classifieds are another reason why it is being delivered to me. But then if people don’t read it, the advertisers wont be there so maybe I am in the minority and maybe the Times Of India is actually a damn good newspaper
