I used to read mumbai samachar and gujarat samachar being a gujarati. After my marriage to a maharashtrian we started T.O.I. ’coz of language fight. But I really regret the decision. It never gives you important news but all the celebrity stuff. What they give is page three news. And they really feel proud in giving us the subscribers all that filmy high society stuff.
The whole paper contains is high society stuff, their affairs, or so-called achievements or where they party and with whom. They ask the opinion on several important issues relating to general public to all these high profile people who as per my knowledge have no idea of the issues related to general public. And the other thing the paper contains is the advertisement of all the high profile, in their language, the in thing, party places and events where I don’t think the general public goes or may be the general public has any interest.
I would like to remind them that please keep the stuff with what you started and gained so much popularity or else you will loose what you have achieved all these years. And you are spoiling the aim or the vision with this newspaper started.
Please give us some solid and real stuff we are not interested in your plastic card life styles or rubber faced, Hippocratic emotions. Give us real stories and real emotions because we all live with that. We don’t have time and money to enjoy your high society life styles.
Plus they give us writers like shobhaa de, pritesh nandy, mr. dharker who as per my knowledge must not have experienced how a general public lives or behaves in certain situations.
I will not recommend this paper to any one. This is meant for only those who wants to be mentioned in page three, or want to become miss or mrs. or ant damn beauty pageant winner and those who wants to know latest trends in fashion and make up donned by all the so called high society people
