A very polite reader of TOI

The year was 1962.The place a small one bedroom in Santacruz(west). At sharp 6.00am I wake up by the sound of a knock on the main door. Most of the time when my tea kettle was boiling and I knew it was TOI laying on the mosaic floor. It took 30 minutes to "glance" TOI.

Before I start my day, another 30 minutes reading in BEST’s A4Ltd, from Santacruz to Kalachowki in Lalbaugh was like body transfer on a time machine, as it went past like a flash.20 minutes during lunch, and one hour before Isleep, since on way back from work in the evening was in the local train where I had to fold myself like TOI. That was my schedule for TOI till 1998.

Now even if a kirana shop wrap groceries in a piece of TOI, I refuse to collect it.I am mentally more healthy even at the age of 65.TOI is like trash created by people who were born out of "greed" for money.

What an end to the "lady of Bori Bundar".
