I used to look forward to absorbing my newspaper early in the morning, but now, I am ashamed to pick up the paper in front of my parents, as on almost every page, lies the photograph of a semi-nude woman. I used to read bombay times, for local issues- before it turned into a soft porn tabloid. The headlines of our nation’s frontrunning ’news’paper, are like - Janet Jackson exposed- with full photo coverage on front page, Enrique pretends to have sex on stage, and smooches an unknown girl from audience.
In school, I used to be encouraged by teachers to read newspapers as it was informatve and intellectual. Now, I think it will be required to STOP young adolescents from laying their hands on one. People blame the youth for moral decline- what about our glorious adults? I dont think teenagers are managing the media!
Suggestions to TOI- Stop converting your paper into a tabloid or a giant gossip column - leave that to your infamous bombay times.
Make bombay times OPTIONAL, its embarassing to have photos of naked women lying around in the house.
Behave responsibly.
