When I was a Kid I knew Only Two Papers....Hindustan Times & Times of India.
Today I know only one true National News Paper exists: The Hindu
If I get aside with the bunch of peoples who quickly take breakfast in morning and read the paper while going to office, I could say the TOINS is nice. Wow! Refreshening sex bombs, aaah also some copy pasted movies news ( I know Might b u cldnt), eeee see what a party..big shots drinking with pretty galz with hands arounds the waist...aah Shahrukh Khan’s interview...now ok everybody I am leaving will be back in evening!
What was the main news paper? Hahaha this is the thing! The Delhi Times has replaced the actual TOI!
One day I by fluke I got The Hindu in my hand instead of TOI. That period was my holidays breaks. It was Friday. By the virtue of my old habbit turned again to the colored section of the Hindu. Some highly researched article was over topic of movies, with elite arrays of words used..no mumbo jumbo, wanna wanna kinda type, no nonsense Jug Suriya, no articles of media made new lingua dictum Gurus!
The paper’s supplementary section was not able to catch my hasty eyes and give me quick refreshment, it deserved and served my full eyes, engrossing me, catching me. The main paper was just great
And that makes you feel that what is a quality article expected from a National News Paper. Though it is a south Indian news paper and that too TN based. One can expect culteral bias in the coverage of the news from Hindu, but this si never never the case. I strongly recommend The Hindu. Read it for a week and thereafter you will feel that what is the print media’s power and journalism! The Hindu covers each and every section with deep detail and insight. Times of India can’t imagine a wink even!
Would have I read Hindu from my childhood, I would have been much better informed and alert citizen of this country instead of lousy least concerned civilian.

Front Page: Padma Shri Awarded to Shahrukh The Bubbly Badshah, India is going to Become a Super Power Very Soon, 65% Females below 18 have sex in Cities, and right bottom corner covers ~1/4 area with Vadna Loothra’s VLCC or Curls and Curves.
Inside you read advertisements a lot, Girl Raped, One drunken man killed, The following Dharna took place at Hirapur! Comes the sports page..some trendy pics mostly of girls, and instead of stats personal view hovering over the news. Anyway the sports section is still ok.
International News..Micheal Jackson was called today again in court, Some chrsitian girl dying for last 1months in USA, Jannet Jacksons Bra ws torned apart by Timberlake, Britany Gaining weight! Coming to the editorial, left section and right section both are worthless and the middle one holds the fort of The Times of India! Only the editorial section and RK Laxman’s common man!
Where is that childhood respect of mine for this news paper?
What forced my dad to change his loyality back home for some other news paper?
Is The Times of India really a national daily or a section of tabloid journalists, socialites sold out, trying to bring America in India, or a conspiracy by some country to cause a cultural turmoil and generate a mal-informed Indian, generating a weaker Fast Food for Thought Society?
Why not TOI can dedicate one quality suplpementary section on thursday Like Hindu does, on Science and Tech?
Why not a quality movie suuplementary section and Children section separetly on Fridays which Hindu does?
Why not TOI comes to the educated journalism and hires real journalists with depth of Knowledge and more linked to common man?
Verdict: If any one of you have seen Nana Patekar’s Krantiveer, there he had given a dialogue over newspaper. That dialogue fits for TOI. In English( not in Hinglish Shobha day Style, , , pardon me)....These Newspapers are meant only for wipe out the Baby’s sh-it as a Napkin
