Hoping for improvements !!!

Lets start with a question shall we

would you prefer to read about bipasha basu changing boyfriends or read about how indian acheivers are making their mark abroad

first of all let us not deny that we like glamour all of us do

we like sensationalism   but for gods sake I dont want to read about how david beckham wears his wife’s undergarments !!!! and I dont people analysing why karima kapoor’s marriage broke up

i accept that there has to be element of spice but a balance between tabloid news and sensible issues can be struck after the times is a century old newspaper

Mallika sherawat is given a half page and hailed as a liberator who is breaking the shackles of conservatiosm and is hailed as an icaon puhhlease !!! gimme a break guys

i mean there is no harm in catering to the elite but I the times of india can devote a page to it there is an entire page devoted to it page three

i remember enjoying the sunday times supplement but now seriouslt I just toss it aside as I can easily predict waht it could contain   the night life of mumbai indian sexuality how to improve one’s sexuality

i mean I dont mind the times adding a touch of glamour but then I mean I think the times has literally become a lifestyle magazine instead of an intelligent newspaper

we have detailed analysis of why celebrities marraiges break up and how the rich wash their dirty linen inpublic come on guys gimme a break ok?

granted the paper has to sell but surely the times can strike a balance between sensible issues and glamour

we have an two page article on how the rich spend their money cant we read about acheivers like medha patkar and anju bobby george rather than a sex tape of a mallika sherwat look alike

being a youth myself a member of the generation x I like the good things of life but if I want to read about the fast life of mumbai i’ll buy a lifestyle magazine cosmopolitan for instance

i would rather prfer to read about saurav’s abilities as a captain rather than read about his so called affair with nagma ?????

granted we indians are becoming less conservative but come on guys putting the pic of a hot blonde on the front page why dont u publish it in the middle pages at least ?????   and times guys I dont want to read about how millionaires spend on their weddings would rather enjoy a deabte on a sensible issue

haviong said that I dont want times to be a dull routine newspaper but for gods sake why dont they strike a 60 : 40 balance between glamour and sensible reporting ????

i wanna rake up one more issue that ypu people can think about ?

ARE WE AS READERS TO BE BLAMED TOO ??

does the times publish waht we want ?????????..

DO WE ENJOY THE RICH WASHING THEIR DIRTY LINEN IN PUBLIC OR

DO WE WANT TO BE KNOWN AS INTELLIGENT READERS

after all we seem to be obsessed with sensationalism materailaism and spicy gossip

its an hangover of the ’’SAAS BAHU AND THE ENTIRE SOAP BRIGADE ’’

lets go for a sensible combination of lifestyle and serious issues shall we ?
