As much as I like Zemeckis and Gordon-Levitt, I really can’t see the purpose in’recreating’ what the excellent Man On Wire documentary did for real. It’s like choosing between watching your favourite band or going to see a tribute act instead. It was a good film. Not perfect but good. But then again, what was perfect about it was my intense nervousness when he finally performs between the two towers. It truly made me cringe and grab hold of my arm rests on many occasions. I haven’t felt that way in a movie in a long time. And, on a much different note. It was beautiful seeing and knowing something wonderful in regards to the two towers. There is no bringing them back. Nor the people lost with them.
