I have been a regular reader of The Week for the past two years and I can confidently say that it is the best weekly magazine of the country.
My affair with The Week started when I went to my regular bookstall in Nagpur and asked him my monthly dose of Overdrive and India Today.India Tody was not available and I was requested by my vendor, Chandru, to go through The Week.
I just picked up the copy and have not been able to put it down since then.
It has various columns such as Global Village {masala news from around the globe}, Statescan {Tongue in cheek news from various states}
The Sexes {by Shobha Dey-usually lambasting Men and supporting women}, Dilli Durbar {news fom the CAPITAL}, Astrology{pretty reliable ;-) } Tintin etc etc etc.
The best thing I like about the magazine is its unbiased views towards poitical affairs.They do praise the good work done by some one but at the same time, will not shy away from disclosing any hidden skeletons in their closet.They do not seem to have any political favourites and treat everyone as per their merits.
Also, their coverage always provides us with some unknown facts which are usually overlooked by the others.
A comprehensive and much better read as compared to its contemporaries.
