The Week has been my weakness for over 14 years now ! It is a nice cross section of the whole spectrum of journalism. It is a perfect blend just like a seducing coffee in the morning!. The style is simple yet powerful and sweet. It is informative and entertaining though not so investigative. The Week does follow a middle path, no extremes.
Educate and enlighten the readers. I read every issue like a novel. It comes in right size but the layout has still room for improvement. India Today has reached international standard in their layout. Outlook also is better laid out. What The Week need is more perfection in the way pages are presented. The content is great and thrilling, but they need to work on the design. The cover is ok, I am talking about pages inside.
The website of the The Week ( https://the-week.com) does not look professional!! India Today and Outlook are far advanced in their web designs. Though rich in content, the way it is presented is not typical of such a reputed publishing house! All other sites from Manorama group look excellent and pleasing to eyes and has info-packed content for easy reading.
India Today lags in content quality while Outlook lacks the flow of reading. Arranging articles is important for a smooth reading and The Weak has done a great job of it. It is the right mix of all what you need for a joyful, yet serious reading expedion!!
It is journalism trying to be at its best. It is great value for your money compared to the other news magazines in India.
