Timeless Music..

?I know how it feels to be head over heels

To be lost in true love and the light of the moon

When everything seems to be coming up roses

And every word seems to be rhyming with June?

John Denver was truly a legend, and his departure is truly a loss to the music world. I happen to be one of the few teenagers who can, to this day, enjoy the tranquillity of Mr. Denver?s soothing vocals, as they flawlessly move up and down the scales..

?The Wildlife Concert? is beyond doubt, one of the best concert performances given by the best live performer I have known till date. This 2CD album leaves a lasting impression on the listener and must belong to everyone?s music collection, big or small. During the 1 hour, 43 minute performance, Mr. Denver belted out not only the classic favourites such ?Rocky Mountain High?, ?Country Roads? & ?Annie?s Song? but also delighted the audience with rare performances of ?You say the battle is over?, ?The Harder They Fall? and ?Is It Love, ? the outcome being a truly all-inclusive and gratifying concert.

My personal favourites of the album are ?For You?, ?Wild Montana Skies? and ?Calypso? which showcases Mr. Denver?s vocal abilities and originality. On the other hand, ?Dreamland Express? and ?Shanghai Breezes? leaves the listener swaying to the rhythm. ?Sunshine On My Shoulders? and ?Poems, Prayers & Promises? bring back bittersweet memories only to be dismissed by ?Wild Montana Skies? and ?Harder They Fall.?

On a whole, Wildlife Concert is a great buy, for the simple reason that this album by itself pretty much condenses the gems of his 20-odd albums into a single 2CD album.
