Living up to the name

When Shakespeare asked, “ What’s in a name?”, I am sure his satirical genius meant just the opposite. This question pops up in my mind everyday as I leave my three and a half –year-old in his class room at THE WONDER YEARS. Did the person who thought of the name for this institution foresee what was coming? Was it a philosophy translated or was it just another name taken off a website?

Just as millions of parents around the world, I was pondering over the pros and cons of sending my son to a preschool. My husband and I debated and discussed the idea, went for suggestions and finally, with a lot of misgivings, and a greater amount of expectations, decided to look for a pre-school for Neel. As first timers in this great act, we made endless lists of what we wanted for our only child.

Flooded with names and numbers of preschools and child care centers, we were confused and a bit disappointed. Then, we heard of The Wonder Years. It was recommended by a close friend, and for that sole reason, we decided to pay it a visit. Today, I can smile when I look back at the months that flew by.

So, what is it that makes The Wonder Years special? I remember reading somewhere that it is the sense of wonder that makes a child a child. When a child loses his sense of wonder, he stops being a child. At The Wonder Years, my son learns, but he learns like a child. He listens, watches and acts….as a child of his age must. He is not asked to achieve greatness or compete. He can be what he likes the best…. a preschooler.

It would be a crime if a word is not mentioned about the man behind the success of this school. Mr. George, with his undying passion and dedication for excellence has been the biggest success reason of this wonderful institution. His excellent staff members  has been the backbone of this system who ensure that every activity is done with utmost perfection and years at the school remains a cherishing experience for all who has been a part of this’WONDER’ institution.

This is our testimonial as a happy parents. The Wonder Years lives up to its name and the promise the name holds.
