An awesome school

Having been a parent for nearly five years now, something I have learnt from when I first held my daughter(Nandana a.k.a. Nandu) is that “Letting go is difficult”. I kid you not; I went against tradition(and better judgement?) to keep her close to me.

The first couple of years were easy, I did not have to think about where she was – always nearby. And then the fateful day, she needs to go to school. Our social scenario implies a formal education system; she has to be under somebody else’s supervision for a majority of her waking moments. I was in denial for a while, she’s too young, she’s too small, she could get hurt and I won’t be there. I am sure, you as a first time parent can empathise.

After a series of discussions, arguments, searches, meetings and research, me and my better half decided(again against the common trend) to let Nandu go to The Wonder Years. Couple of reasons, the major one being proximity to home, I know a silly reason, but let me tell you; my wife and me most certainly do not regret it even one tiny bit. The experience has been tremendous.

From when my wife and I, entered the centre on a weekend, with no appointment and no prior contact to now, it’s been a very comfortable and stress free engagement. Put simply, George is obsessive(and we mean that in the nicest possible way) about safety, is passionate about educating children and is always challenging the norm. And in addition is very straight forward and approachable. A mix that matched our requirements perfectly.

The change that we see in Nandu is…. well words fail me. Needless to say we have no regrets and we can vouch that the approach taken by George and The Wonder Years does nothing but right by the children and you would be hard pressed to find another environment that keeps your little bundle of joy safe, engaged and happy; all the while learning things we believe are not learnable or too tough.
