The movie was enough!

ANOTHER BOND MOVIE?

The eighteenth of the Bond movies seemed the best among them as long as I am concerned. It has more action and thrill than all others and more over, it has got Denise Richards in it. We know that when Bond is around there will be women around along with the action factor. This one is not an exception.

But this one has managed to make everything much better. I had never been a James Bond fan last year and I almost hated it more than anything else. Thanks to my friend who gave me eighteen of the Bond movies to see - he had a big collection of Bond!

I managed to see only ten or twelve among them, but still I liked most of them, but this one I think is the best, considering any factor. Actually, unlike the other movies, this one got no dull moment in it. Even ’’Die Another Day’’ doesn’t come near this one - that one didn’t even have a beautiful enough heroine or a stunt like what this movie had in the beginning with those boats. All cheers to ’’The World Is Not Enough’’.

WHATS THIS ALL ABOUT?

I forgot some parts of the plot by now, I wonder why. James Bond (Pierce Brosnan) is trying to protect a business man, but he manage to fail and that fellow dies. He then ends up protecting the daughter Elektra King (Sophie Marceau). Now as her father is dead, she owns a number of oil pipe lines which may be the reason why she is under attack.

He got lots of problems to solve as the girl herself seems to be a huge mystery. A terrorist named Renard (Robert Carlyle) is behind all this - a guy who did kidnap the girl earlier. He got a bullet on his head which will make him stronger even if his death is near. As Bond tracks down the terrorist, he is able to know that the man is going to steal a nuclear bomb from a group scientist under Dr.Christmas Jone (Denise Richards).

Now the hero and heroine are together and they got a combined mission to complete. Will they be able to stop this man from completing his evil plans? What role does Elektra got to play in this thing? Where will Bond’s leaning towards the women end him up? Will he win this battle or will he somehow manage to disappoint? (Thats an unnecessary question becuase heroes always win especially as this is a James Bond movie).

IT IS FANTASTIC!

Pirece Brosnan has got the Bond style very well and he goes nowhere wrong in this movie. He looks very cool as James Bond and he seems to work for it very well. Sophie Macreau seems good, but not the best. She sometimes looks quite odd, especially with the facial expressions - almost vague. I heard that she acted in Braveheart, but I haven’t seen that one.

Denise Richards looks great in the movie even if she doesn’t get even closer to the scientist she is playing with her looks. After ’’Wild Things’’, this seems to be the next major role she has got. She was expected to act different than Wild Things here as there was not much of an ’’acting’’ to do in Wild Things, I think you know why. That was another ’’genre’’ - or was it something else? Anyways, I have not seen that one completely.

She looks gorgeous and the dialogues are quite good too even if she comes only in the latter half of the movie, but she stays in the screen from that very moment. She looks well suited for the Bond movies with that looks and the style of acting. I think that ’’Die Another Day’’ should have had her too.

Robert Carlyle looks good as the villain and is great when he have a long look with his eyes. He is exceptionally good in the final stages too. Hollywood seems to have a number of good villains. The stunts scenes are very well done by everyone, especially that boat chase in the very beginning of the movie as well as that car being torn apart by the helicopter (they should have given that car to me instead - some of my friends were very sad seeing the nice looking car being torn apart).

IT IS A GREAT ONE

Are the Bond movies all about action and bond girls? It has become almost something like that. They replace heroines like they change dress. The bond movies have minimum amount of ’’descent’’ sex. Thats why I had been afraid to see them long ago as I knew my parents will kick me out.

Anyways, Bond movies are expected to be like that, aren’t they? The positive thing about this movie are that there are plenty of fighting and chase sequences along with the bond girls. I have not seen all the bond movies, but those movies which looked good other than this one were
