Delhi People,
If you do not already, Delhi I think is the hot-spot for drama and theater just like Mumbai is for films. There are so many options available to Delhites to choose from that not many cities have. There is NSD (National School of Drama), IHC (Indian Habitat Center) and so many auditoriums on Copernicus Marg and nearby areas. NSD offers plays conducted by their students which is open to general public. There is no fee for plays conducted by 1st and 2nd year students!
The professionalism and performance in the plays is too good. IHC has multiple plays going on at the same time and one could pick and choose from. IHC is a cultural pot-boiler of sorts where under one roof you can watch paintings, sculptures, plays, movies and workshops. The IHC building is so aesthetic that being there itself relaxes you a lot. Then there are few commercial theater groups which perform to earn at the auditoriums.
Just one thing one should keep in mind that sometime these professional groups are really pathetic ad dish out crap too.
regards,
Roopesh
