Just got a confirmation from my card provider that the amount @ Rs.8918 has been credited to my account on the 26th instant! The saga finally ends.
It was a painful experience, not really for the money involved, which wasn’t anyway insignificant, but more for the mental stress; the product advertised was really enticing.
Now i’ll trace it from reliable web sites and procure it!

I called up+918042454602 and spoke to Kumar @ 1355hrs, yesterday and he again assured me that the instructions have been sent from their side thru the billdesk portal on the 20th, but, my card provider hasn’t received the credit as on date.
Looks like a long battle ahead and may have to involve the cops. entirely avoidable, but these frauds are really pushing the envelope.

Yesterday, Sunday 17th, I got a call from Kumar # 8042454602 @ 14.51hrs where he regretted that they wouldnt be able to deliver my order item hence would be crediting my card account with the amount originally charged @ Rs.8918/-. Expected to happen in 4-5 business days i.e. by Friday 22nd.
The saga continues. sigh!

Yesterday, I got a call from one Mohammed # 8042454611. He claims that the watch has been cleared by customtakeouts and I can expect delivery by the weekend. Got knows what, if at all, I will get at the end of it.

Today, 13th July, Wednesday, is the day I was assured that the order qty w/watch would be delivered to my address. In this context, I sent a text message to the contact referred to under, but got no revert. Neither have they otherwise bothered to contact me, so I guess, my sentiments were valid and their intent and pedigree is mala fide.
Beware all you who are taken in by the fake gloss of their on line advertisements!

Today(June 8, 2011) at 1600hrs, I got a call from a # 9986977183 from a person who gave his name as Kumar and purported to be a representative of theprivatesales.com.
He was at pains to express that the consignment of watches has really been held up at the customtakeouts and has now reached IND; delivery expected by next Wednesday. He requested that I withdraw my comments posted earlier.
I clarified that my issue wasn’t with the delay in delivery but in the absolute lack of reverts/intimation to a customtakeouter who has paid a good amount for a product and the firm has ceased all communications with.
I have further clarified that it should not just hapen that they deliver some watch to get me off their back - it has to be the same product that I ordered, with all original packing, manuals, bills etc intact/endorsed.
So friends, await my update on the order status, next week!

I’d ordered a Luminox wristwatch on their web site on June 9, 2011 against a payment @ Rs.8918/- thru my credit card. The site flashed’next day delivery if the product on sale is in stock’ - the day I placed the order, it showed 3 nos available in stock. Days went off without any news on the delivery; order status said’processing’ - then a connect with their live chat option threw up the clarification, belatedly, that delivery is only after 14 working days(Sat/Sun excluded) from the date of expiry of the offer.
Btw, the offer ended on June 14, 2011. Today day 14(working days only), I have still no news on the status of my order. Looks like theprivatesales.com is nothing but a fraud / con job site set up with the express intent to fool unsuspecting customtakeouters who are impressed by their slick advertising and glossy products.
Compared to them, at least Bagittoday.com rates far better as they have so far delivered on the products I have ordered.
Beware all of you, Theprivatesales.com is a big fraud and con job.
