The one of the stories I really liked in this book were the old man who was so concerned that his wife’s 100th birthday be appropriately marked. A few of these stories were weaker than the others, but overall a fun collection to listen to on the train. I am so happy I chose this book because I love short stories which have a common theme. It is engaging and has clever use of words. The story about the retiree who threw himself into a project to do something great for Britain as his father and grandfather had done, was really a great one. Every story is great in some way.
