With some you would knowwhere its leading but with Jeffrey Archer it is not the where its leading is as much as thehow did it get there which is important. Every detail in this book seems to serve a purpose to propel the story. All in all it is a great, quick read. The characters seem real and not dipped in frivolity. It has masterpieces stories, one of them is goes like this, in Germany, the tale of a priceless oil painting that has remained in the same family for over 200 years untill. I remember enjoying his books Cain and Abel, Prodigal Daughter and this one didnt disappointed me at all.
