First to tell you about TCE, I was positively inspired by this college much earlier (even during my school days) when knowing about engg. colleges and its top colleges. My school professors recommended this college after +12, and when I did my Diploma in engineering, most of the college professors and Deans’ are from TCE which was the most inspirational to pursue of my career with TCE.
TCE helped me learn a lot of things which paved me good strength about the society and how engineers need to indulge in the society for helping the society in all aspects. To start with, I am from virudhunagar (vnr), and I was a day scholar to travel to TCE daily by bus. The travel was never boring like travelling to other engg. colleges, and it was really fun filled journey as my college friends too travelled from vnr to TCE. While travelling to college.
I come across with daily wage labours, sales executives, school childrens, old aged people and many interesting incidents during travel really urged me that I have to do something good for the needy people with my knowledge. Next was the college atmosphere, which is a very calm place amidst of the busy town thiruparankundram, and best for students to do group study in college premises.
Highlight of TCE is, Most of the department and non department staffs and professors are student friendly enough to make us feel that we are in such a place where discussions and interactions are the best for doing engineering rather than the normal teaching and learning process.
I did my EEE, and I do have very good friendship with my EEE department professors as well as few good staffs and professors in Mech., ECE, IT departments, and to the surprise I even do have few good friendship with staffs in English and Maths departments too.
When analyzing with exams, TCE has a strict rule for exams and exam board gives enough study holidays for all semester exams. They also do help all the failed students with coaching them for their next attempt makes it their last attempt to pass a semester.
Coming to extra activities, we have enough space to play Cricket, Football, Tennis court, Kabaddi court, kho-kho court, a well lit indoor auditorium and much more for a student to relax during non class hours and help him to be multitalented across various fields. We also have many cultural events, technical symposiums where we attended as well as coordinated for other college students.
Still I feel the freshness of my college life with TCE, and having tons and tons of memories since I joined the college as a lateral entry student in 2004 and passed out in 2007.
