THOLI PREMA MOVIE REVIEW

THOLI PREMA STORY: Aaditya(Varun Tej) is an impulsive individual who takes decisions spontaneously and is unafraid to speak his mind. The love of his life Varsha(Raashi Khanna) is his extreme opposite — she chooses not to let her emotions control her actions or words. Will these two differing individuals ever make their relationship work?

THOLI PREMA REVIEW:

‘Tholi Prema’ is a new-age millennial romance reflecting on the various twists and turns Aaditya(Varun Tej) and Varsha(Raashi Khanna)’s relationship takes through various years. There are no specific evil villains opposing their love and there’s no such thing as perfection in their relationship. Aadi and Varsha are our everyday youngsters, struggling to make their relationship work and trying to understand where it all goes wrong.

Performance:

Aadi first sees Varsha on a train right after he finishes high school and is attracted to how she looks. The duo spends some time together and it’s not long before Varsha begins to have feelings for Aadi too. However, fate has other plans and it is three months before they meet again in college, and this time, they have all the time in the world to get to know each other well.

Aadi is impulsive, hot-headed, unafraid to speak his mind and seemingly undaunted of anything really. Varsha, on the other hand, is his extreme opposite. She scares easy and takes her time before taking decisions or even accepting the fact that she loves Aadi. When an altercation at their college leads to misunderstandings between the two, Aadi is quick to take his stance, while Varsha is not. When they meet again six years later, will anything change this time around and will they be able to look past their differences is what ‘Tholi Prema’ is all about.

Cinematography:

The best part of the film is its relatable storyline. Gone are times when love was perceived as something unselfish and flawless with only an evil entity standing in between the individuals in love. While many might call the concept of a lovers’ tiff predictable, the fact that ‘Tholi Prema’ focuses on the human side of love, sets it apart. Quite contrary to the notion, love is extremely flawed and dependent completely on the individuals who are trying to make their relationship stay afloat. It is also dependent on their mindset and just having love for another person does not make a relationship work, is what the film highlights. The journey of Aadi and Varsha is realistic, focusing on the fact that it is always the individuals who choose to make a relationship work, even if love is the emotion that binds them.
