I took Thomas Cook’s European Extravaganza. Since booking I had to chase them to submit my visa and book my tickets. Their agent does not pick up phone nor replies to emails. In spite of chasing them - they did not book in time.
They lie every time. They told me that the server of the Swiss Embassy is down. They told that whole group is delayed. However the reality(which one comes to know when you have left the country) is that the rest of the group has gone before you.
In my case I got the tickets on 21st May while the departure date was 20th. When I reach Rome - they tell me that - you have missed Rome, Vatican City and Pisa(yes the Leaning tower of Pisa that is on their brochure) - & I need to join from Florence.
Mine is not the only family so affected. In our group - there are 10-12 families of which 2 family did not get tickets in time - both are from Kolkata.
Advise - if you book Thomas Cook travels - you are in danger. Do not speak to Suman & rest of Kolkata crowd - they are Big LIARS, you need to chase(3-4 times a day you need to call) to their Mumbai office to ensure that you travel.
Another friend who booked Scandanavian tour - they took the money and as only 6 people booked the trip they cancelled it. However they charged 23, 000 for service( Ha - What service - cancelling the tour they booked).
So in short - beware of Thomas Crook - DO not book thourgh them.
