I had a very bad experience with Thomas Cook Chennai. Totally unprofessional guys and they do not know how to handle a customer. I got a Thomas Cook travel offer from SBI Card I contacted their 1800 number and a lady by the name starting b told me that I can go for this offer and I should contact a guy who’s name starts with V in their Chennai branch. When I told that today is 29th June and the offer document says it ends on 30th June. She checked her system and told me this offer is actually valid upto 31st july. I again asked her if I should have booked the rooms before 30th she said I can book it for 4th. I called the "V" guy, he for some reason asked me for the name of the person in the 800 number and said he will talk and get back. Then a lady with a name starting "L" called me after sometime and pretended as if she is trying to help and got my information and said she will contact her Bombay office and get back to me.
I said its fine but asked her to get back to me soon coz the offer ends tomorrow. She called me in couple of hours and said the offer has already expired and I cannot use it. I asked how? she said I do not know sir but it has expired. I asked her is it like I should have booked the rooms before 30th June for which she didnt have an answer and said I dont know sir. Then when I said this is not right info I am getting she said Our Bombay office has informed us that the rooms are booked between 4th and 8th July the dates I asked for. She is coming with a totally new answer which irritated me further.
I was so pissed off and said I would never do any business with Thomas Cook hereafter and will advice my friends not to do so. Please friends stay away from Thomas Cook coz they dont look or work as flashy as their advertisements are. I thank Thomas Cook guys for one thing coz had this kinda bad experinece happens after making my travel arrangement with them then my holiday might have got screwed. So please beware of Thomas Cook India (Chennai)
