Sir,
I am Dr. P Subbarao, Professor of Paediatric Surgery along with my wife Dr. K Indira, Professor of Gynaecology and other doctor colleagues gone through Europe trip recently(from 3rd to 18th instant). At the outset, I would like to thank the Europe coach captain/driver for driving us safely and timely to the destinations.
The tour manager, Mr Rohan Suvarna is an extremely nice gentleman to the core. He loves his profession wholeheartedly and hardworking. He is very faithful to his parent organisation "Thomascook" He has great managerial skills. He takes care of his clients with great affection and attention. If someone is lagging behind, unable to walk along with others, he used to walk along with them with encouraging words giving them moral boost. He is very knowledgeable about the European history and the places we were taken. He used to brief us in advance before reaching the actual site and tell us in detail when we reach the actual site. He is a very cool person and has lot of patience. Most of the times, the tourists do not turn up in time, indulging in shopping, especially in our batch. (This group has cosmopolitan experience. I mean, many have visited USA, Europe, Middle East, Southeast Asia, Australia, and Newzealand). In spite of that, he used to coolly manage without losing tempers. Once, 4 of our co-tourists did not turn up to the bus at the said time. He said, he can not keep the coach at the spot for long and said you all proceed to the hotel in the coach and I stay back here and join you along with the remaining passengers by travelling in a local train. Luckily, they too turned up. This is just an example to say that he used to coolly manage the show without losing tempers. He has lot of respect to elders and highly humane in nature. Whenever somebody slips on the floor while walking or fall ill, he used to take personal attention. One day, driver sustained some blunt injury to thigh and could not unload the baggage from the coach. He jumped into action and unloaded the baggage in no time. There were about 5 batches of Thomas cook passengers were passing through the same areas where we were visiting. He used to co-opt with other tour managers and lead us properly without causing any inconvenience at the tourist sites or restaurants. As the tour was coming to an end, we felt that we are missing a great friend and a human being Mr Rohan. I wish him a great success in all his endeavours and good luck. God bless him.
In any tour, there will be some deficiencies. But overall, we enjoyed it.
At this juncture, I would like to bring forth the rude behavior of one of the tour manager of Thomas cook itself. I heard him as Mr. Daksh. When we were on a cruise along with other groups, it was raining and there was no ample space inside. This fellow was occupying a two-seater convenience, as many senior citizens were standing and he did not have minimum courtesy to take care of the fellow beings. That sort of people is a disgrace to any organization.
Two of the hotels in Italy are not good. I mean, not physical. Service is totally inadequate. Last day in Rome also, they did not even bother to provide bread loaves for breakfast. This is all just to make you wiser in taking care of the comforts of your tourists.
This is the third time I traveled with THOMAS COOK. Earlier, I had been to Southeast Asia and Srilanka and wish to do many more trips.
Thanking you
Sincerely
Subbarao
