This TV is an absolute waste of money and the customer care department is a nightmare to deal with.
After struggling to connect my Sony Home Theater to this Thomson TV, I called up the customer care on 7th Nov. I explained the problem to the customer care executive, who said "for connecting your home theater you simply need to connect it". I understood that this person had no technical knowledge and requested a call back from the technical department. I was assured that I will get a call within 2 days.
A lady named Sheetal finally called me back after 5 days on 20th dec. Her technical knowledge was only slightly better than the first point of contact and which is not saying much. She made me do a video call and was clearly not able to solve the issue as she had absolutely no clue what she was talking about. Finally she said that I need to send a mail along with video proof of the issue, only then will she arrange for a visit by her technical team. When I questioned her on the absurdity of me sending a mail along with video when l was already talking to the people who should be registering and resolving the complaint, she said this is the only way. If you dont send the mail, I cannot do anything and she disconnected the call.
Absolutely regret buying this TV. Youre better off burning your money to keep yourself warm.
