This is one of the most recommended places in Bangalore. I consider this place to be one of the best restaurants in the city. Church Street, Banglore has some of the best restaurants in terms of ambience, food and service. This place tops them all. It’s located right below Amoeba on Church Street. This place has a cool looking bar. Its really spacious and exotic. This is a place where one can go with his/her family, spouse, children, and girlfriend and have a real good time. The ambience is perfect for any occasion.
Theres one small clarification. The name as it misleads; this place isn’t a Chinese restaurant. It is good for some delicious North-Indian veg and non-veg. The Chinese here isn’t close to Shun Muay in Boat Club Road, Pune or Lings Pavillion in Peddar Road, Bombay. Ones who like real Chinese may skip Chinese cuisine here.(Everyone in this country serves Chinese food. Right from Dosa joints to the Punjabi Dhabas - Have we lost our senses??)
The Punjabi food is excellent and served pretty fast. This time was my third visit to this restaurant. We ordered Butter Chicken (90 bucks), Fish Amritsari (130 bucks) and Naans. It was on the table and served within 15 minutes of ordering. The food as expected was simply brilliant. The Paranthas and Butter Naans are well baked, soft and tender as expected. It has a true Punjabi flavour. My friend tried the Singapore Rice Noodles with Prawns (110 bucks) and Lamb in Garlic Sauce which he said was excellent. I being a food hardliner did not indulge in so called Chinese. We were seated in the main lounge which can hold about 80-100 people. Being a Friday, it was easy to find a place. Its better to reserve on weekends.
Apart from some delicious Punjabi food they serve well prepared Duck in Plum, Barbeque and Soya sauces (275 bucks). Its filling for two. Overall the quantity of food (which seems to be miserable in most of the restaurants other than Kerala Restaurants) is really impressive here. Most of their starters are mouth-watering. Try the chicken sizzler or the lamb starters.
This is one of the best places to have a bottle of beer (90 bucks). The starters they serve are really good and theres no extra charge for that. The service is magnificent. Every single time I was well attended and well served. The menu card is shaped as a Quarter and has well designed sections.
Every section is in detail with appropriate descriptions. Someone seems to know the art of serving people better here at 3 quarters Chinese.
Amritsar no doubt is the head-quarter of North-Indian food. Every single lane there boasts of some of the best cuisine in this world. If you really want to taste anything closer, try my recommendations at 3 Quarters Chinese.
