Long story short, before booking or making the payment for an accommodation at homestay in Chikmangalor, I asked for photographs of the homestay and details of the quality of room, bed, bathroom. I was given the photographs of rooms that were already allotted to other people which I got to know only after arriving the homestay, it was so awkward moment. I still have those photographs in my email. I didnt get the room what I had paid for and we group of 2 couples had to stay in a small room of average quality that had one big bed where 3 person can sleep uncomfortably another bed for single person. We didnt have any other option but to adjust with the situation. BEWARE! if you ever decide to avail their service make double triple sure of that you are not dealing with a brainless chicken who is irresponsible too. For me they were R-u-chi Sin-ghal and Divya-nsh Sh-ar-ma, ruined our holidays.
I was billed 10, 800.00, for that price I got 100sq ft room having 1 double bed, 1 single bed and we 2 couples had to settle down there. Host of the homestay was very helpful, understood the situation we were in, helped with a camping bed and mattress.

The day after I posted my view here, I received a call from Thrillophilia.com to thrill me. Again I had to speak to another irresponsible, arrogantDUDE who told he is from "ESCALATION" department and his whole intention was to make me understand their policy, terms and conditions which tells(I did not double check with their website though) that the existence of Thrillophilia is to "provides an online platform" and wanted me to understand that THEY does not operate the way other travel website does.DUDE also said "Thrillophilia is not party between the OPERATORS AND TRAVELLERS, Thrillophilia is not an AGENT, it has no control over the tour operators."
All I understand that I paid the money to Thrillophilia, it did not disclose the name of the homestay, I did not have any contact details of the Host of the Homestay until and unless I made the payment online. The photographs of accommodation, property was provided by Thrillophilia, not by any tour operator or the owner of the Homestay. Any fool will know whom to question or blame when exceptions is not met. Here I am not at questioning the TREATMENT of Homestay; I am question the ROOM that was provided to us, that I paid for, I am NOT questioning why there was not clean TOWEL, or TANDOORI chicken for lunch, I am questioning why I did not get the ROOM I was shown in photographs. When I put across all these point thatDUDE said "do you have it written that we assured or promised you the accommodation or service you are going to get . if you have please show us and we will give the 100% refund". I am THRILLED. It did sound like "Book at Your Own Risk" exactly like "Park at Own Risk" board you see on the wall of the car parking of shopping mall. When I questioned, DUDE said "was not you given an option to cancel your booking and get a refund?". We are stupid that spend days and hours to plan a trip, book the stay and because of some mindless arrogant simply says "You could cancel the booking and get a 100% refund". WTH!
My thought is "When Thrillophilia is not here to take the blame/responsibility then they should not share the photographs or any information regarding the accommodation or anything, they must route those request to the tour operator or Host of the homestay instead of sharing wrong pictures and convince/misguide"
