I booked for a trip to kudremukh. The trip was in the last weekend of July, 2019.
We were to start by 4.30 PM as per plan and we started at around 8 PM.
The bus was really pathetic, a small bus which broke down every now and then.
We were not able to sleep properly in that bus and we reached one place in Chikmagalur at around 6.30 AM.
Our stay was arranged in an Auditorium. They never cared for customers concerns.
And because of the quality of stay, people were furious and frustrated. Many were asking them to arrange for a different accommodation.
After that we got to know that we were betrayed and the trip was not to Kudremukh, instead to Kurinjal Peak.
We searched for the price of Trek to Kurinjal and we got o know it was around Rs 2000 less than Kudremukh trek.
Obviously they didn’t agree to refund rest of the amount.
Later we went to Kurinjal and when we reached the top of that hill, I slipped from a rock and fell down hitting my shoulder.
My shoulder got dislocated.
There was not even a single guide who knew about basic first aid.
And they even didn’t accompany me down. So, with a local guide, I had to walk down 7 Kms with a dislocated shoulder.
After reaching down, we didn’t get any vehicle to go. We asked the trip organisers to arrange a vehicle to go to a nearby hospital.
Nearby hospital was around 30 Kms far. They didn’t arrange any vehicle for us. Then checked with forest officials. They also told all vehicles have gone for patrolling.
Then few localites came in car, we asked for lift and they gave us lift. They took us to the hospital.
So, I got the first medical attention after 3 hours.
From that hospital, my bone was put back to the actual position and we came back to our room.
We planned of leaving to Bangalore that night itself.
Soon after reaching our room, we got a call from Thrillophilia telling they have given us Rs 2000 and we have to pay them back.
Already we were really frustrated with the service that they provided and on top of that such weird comment.
We said, we have not taken any money from there and later we started to Bangalore.
This was the worst trip that I have ever attended in my life and I feel I am still paying for my trip.
I was atleast able to bear the pain.
Just think if this happens to some lady or say someone experiences some medical emergency like breathing issue etc.
The guides who accompany you won’t be knowing any basic first aid.
