In short:
You can burn your money or donate it (will give you peace) but paying money to Thrillophilia will bring unimaginable pain in your life.
Detailed:
I booked a new year Trip to Spiti with them and the sales team created such a beautiful new year experience in my head that it will be the best new year of my life. I booked with 2 friends of mine and they asked for 50% advance 2 weeks prior, informing that they need to book everything in advance (they booked nothing in advance in reality).
Below is what happened with us:
Before the Trip, Abhay (Thrillophilia guy) explained us that one of the important destinations of the trip, Chitkul is excluded from the trip due to bad weather and no refund for the same. However, my friend was enjoying in Chitkul at the same time.
The local vendors were unable to manage people and the bus driver was another pain. First day the driver drove so slow and ensured that we reach our destination when it is dark (Maybe instructed by the company). And they knew that Traveller won’t work in the morning due to temperature but they never did anything in night for the same. Travellers usually started at 12 instead of 8:30, left us with no option but to travel full day and sleep at night at the destination. No sight scene at all. Some travellers used to stop in mid-way frequently, and the whole group had to wait for hours and hours.
They made a promise that they will provide heaters wherever possible, but we had to pay for heaters everywhere additionally, and the cost was too high I.e. it was rs 1, 000 for a night at a place where the room cost itself was not rs.1, 000.
The hotels they booked were pathetic, even though there were lots of hot water in the hotel central bathroom, we had given just one bucket for three people. Felt miserable.
Now coming to the local vendor, I think they had an agenda to make sure we miss every spot and they achieved it.
There was no support from the Thrillophilia during the entire trip, they just took money from us and sold the entire trip to local vendors, and disconnected us as soon we left Delhi.
On new year eve, we reached very late and we were fighting for room facilities in hotel instead of enjoying and there was no arrangement for bone fire and music as promised.
They booked every stay so far out of the main destination, every time it felt that we are in jungle instead of the proper location.
It’s a humble suggestion to save your money or make good memories by booking through a different company than Thrillophilia.
