Review:
I recently visited Dubai and as always I preferred micro detailing my trip. Every single thing in the trip was searched on multiple websites and then booked by me after comparing all the pros and cons. Thrillophilia has very bad reviews all over the internet and hence I was a little skeptical to book from Thrillophilia even though their prices are really competitive. I was offered an entire Dubai package from Thrillophilia with transfers too which I didnt fall for but the ticket prices were so cheap that I finally went for Thrillophilia without transfers to minimize my risk.
I booked half of my trip from Make My Trip (more reliable than Thrillophilia) and booked my activities like flyboarding, iFly Dubai, Dubai Dolphinarium and Frame through Thrillophilia. I emailed on the official website of every activity to confirm by booking. All of them replied in affirmation except iFly Dubai. I thought 3/4 activities have replied positively so ticket of iFly will also be proper. During my trip, everything was going on in the right direction and I was changing my opinion about Thrillophilia. When I reached my final activity ie iFly Dubai, they told me that they dont have any intimation about this. As I had international calling I called my Thrillophilia agent in India and she called their agents in Dubai (Rayna tours).
The guy at iFly Dubai refused the Rayna tours agent saying that he doesnt have any slots. Then I had to step in and convince the guy that because of someone elses mistake why are you making the end customer suffer. I have already paid for it, have travelled 20 kms in Dubai all excited for the activity.
Finally, he got convinced and accommodated me in the next slot. Though it was a minor hiccup but it did put me in a spot for some time. I must have saved around and 200-300 rs by not booking iFly directly but risked my time and mental peace. I had booked ski Dubai from MMT and they were equally lethargic, I had to send them multiple messages to send me my ticket. Most of them give the tickets one day in advance of your activity which makes it quite risky.
Verdict:
Book through Thrillophilia/MMT only if the difference is high. Do not run behind saving 200-300 rs. Traveling abroad is expensive and you may lose more than what you saved. Booking directly with the activity provider is the safest thing but may be expensive. Going there and booking on the spot at the ticket window is the most expensive choice one can make so avoid that.
