I knew it was not a celebrated movie and entered the movie hall with minimum expectation. I have watched many worthless Hindi movies till date. At most, there will be one more addition to the list.
The opening was nice with grandeur of a Jodhpur, Rajasthan like Fort and catchy dialogue exchange on Azaadi and Ghulami between an Indian Raja and some British Army General Clive(if history books to be referred, this should not be Lord Clive as Clive died in England in 1774).
This is an out and out Bollywood commercial and the viewers need to leave their logic somewhere in the popcorn tub and things will be fine. I must say sets and cinematography is nice and Katrina, who acted as a courtesan is looking fabulous with her bronze make up look. Sadly, the way she is limited to her enviable midriff, the movie is also limited to its visuals.
There are eye catchy fights, scenic locals, Amir Khan trying hard to be the Indian JACK(of Pirates of Caribbean), Fatima sharing screen with THE Bachhan with ease, and Bachhan himself. Only if they could have spent some 10-20 k extra for the story and screen play. Now, with every other urbanite watching Hollywood movies easily through Netflix or Amazon Prime, imitating Hollywood hardly inspires any awe.
So, folks, follow " Back to the Basics" . Knit a story first.
