This would be a lovely place to watch the sunrise and reflect off the mountains. If you could get there early enough to grab a front spot.
There was a traffic jam to get up the hill and you need to get out and walk the last bit, with hundreds of others.Unless you are 8’ tall, don’t expect to see much except other people’s heads! I did manage to get a good spot ( thanks to a very accommodating tour guide) but for the majority of those who also got up at 4am it would have been a disappointment.
There are other places to view the sunrise if you are travelling around West Bengal and Sikkim, so I would have a lie in and save your energy!
