I was never a fan of Tiger Shroff, however, I felt bad for him. He is being trolled ever since he stepped in Bollywood, Heropanti did not help him much. The buzz that Baaghi created probably wouldve helped him, provided he kept his mouth shut.
In his recent interview with rediff.com, Tiger was asked about his preferences for a partner. To my shock and dismay, he replied, "the housewife type". About the qualities that he wants in a partner, he was quoted as saying, “I will get married to a girl from the village. When I reach home, I want a massage so that I can get relaxed. She should stay at home, keep the house clean and give me home-cooked food. I like girls who are the housewife-type.”
I found that way too sexist! Where is the respect for a woman? Is this what you think of her?
So, you want a village girl because she will clean your house, cook food for you and give you a massage? Is that the only purpose of a woman - servicing her husband? Whatever happened to women empowerment and equality.
This comment received a huge backlash, following theHeropanti actor took to twitter to come clean. He wrote in a series of tweets, "I am totally for women empowerment and equality and always talk about how they are as strong or stronger than men. I respect my mother and sister too much to say something like that. I know Im barely a year old in the industry but for those who know me and who have accepted me you would know. Anyway love always."
