When I first came to bangalore, my company put me up in
the Harsha hotel, to which this tiger trail restaurant is
attached. This is near Shivaji nagar bus stand. I stayed there
for 15 days and my experience with these folks was quite
pleasant.
The food in general is good. The ambience is a bit dull. If
you want to have a business dinner/lunch, this is a good
place. This place looks like it will appeal more to older
generations. You have to fight a bit to get a parking place if
you drive down in a car. I think now they have valet parking. You
will likely to get a place without reservation most of the time.
The waiting times are longer than many other similar hotels
in bangalore. The naan/roti have a true muglaui taste. The
currys are ok. The service is quite good.
The best part of this restaurant is the buffet breakfast. It
is excellent. You have to go early (like 7.30-8.30am) to eat it
fresh. The idli/sambar/chutney is fabulous. The poori is also of
good quality and taste. They also put up some creative dishes in
the breakfast sometimes, which are quite nice.
Though they have a swimming pool nearby, it is dirty most of
the time. Better not take a pool-side dinner/breakfast.
