Tiger is back with new charm and action

After a gap of five years Salman is back as "Tiger zinda hai", obviously which is the sequel of Ek tha tiger. The director changed, movie backdrop changed but the power packed action and patriotic feeling is unchanged along with Salman’s style. The director of Ek tha tiger movie was kabir khan but this time for the sequel it is Ali abbas zaffar, the director of the super hit film Sultan. The total run time of the movie is 2 hours & 40 minutes. Let’s see how far tiger has succeeded in mesmerizing the audience.

STORY LINE: After escaping from their respective intelligence agencies, both Zoya(Katrina) and Tiger(Salman) settled in beautiful snowy environment of Austria. They also had a baby boy and tiger is leading a peaceful life with the memories and patriotic feeling of his country RAW agency. Salman in this film has been shown as 45 year old which convinces the audience a little. The real story starts in the backdrop of Syria, where the situations are violent and filled with bloodshed. In Syria, the violence was being created by dangerous terrorist leader of IS, Usman(Sajid). He kills many innocent citizens and american journalists and reporters. To take revenge of the american killings USA plans to attack the base camp of terrorist Usman, But Usman captures Indian and Pakistan nurses as hostages. Now to save them a mission has been initiated for which Shenoy sir(Girish Kanard) is the head and he knows where is TIGER and he is the only one to complete this tough and dangerous mission. Now enters the tiger and he is assisted by a few RAW agents in this mission. Meanwhile, Pakistani intelligence agency ISI enters to save the pakistani nurses who are held captives in Syria. Interestingly, in this mission both ISI & RAW work together to complete the mission. What was the course of this mission and how did the mission end, was it successful? is the rest of the action.

POSITIVE POINTS:

  1. The action sequences are fully power packed and stunning.

  2. The locations at Austria and Morocco were super.

  3. Salman khan’s magical acting.

  4. Fast pace of the movie.

  5. Good screen play by ali abbas, the director.

  6. The stunts performed by Katrina and Salman are of top notch.

NEGATIVE POINTS:

  1. The unnecessary drag in the second half.

  2. The continuous action sequences might not be enjoyable by the family audience.

  3. The same routine villainism bores a little bit.

  4. Some dialogues about the patriotic feelings are age old and boring.

MUSIC:

The music composed by Julius packiam for backround was nice and engaging. The songs by Vishal Sekhar are superb and "Swag se swagath" is worth mentioning. Wherever possible the music elevates the action in the movie to the next level.

PERFORMANCE:

Salman and Katrina’s acting and the stunts they have performed shows the hard work they have put in. Even Katrina escaped a big accident while performing those stunts. Salman’s style of acting and conversations surely entertains the fans. Salman’s shirtless action scenes in the climax and the action scene of holding the machine gun are awesome. Girish Kanard’s acting as the chief of RAW is nice and acting of Saajid as Usman in negative role was super and have contributed for the success of the movie. All other actors did their best in maintaining the flow of the movie.

DIRECTION: Ali Abbas Zaffar did a splendid job in filming the sequel and he has successfully doubled the dose of action and thrill. He handled the story quiet cleanly with well written screenplay. But still somewhere he missed the magic of mesmerizing the audience with new things. But, as a director of the sequel and an action thriller he definitely succeeded.

PRODUCTION VALUES: The film was the outcome of a huge bidget of 140 cr. And the richness of the budget can be witnessed in the movie. The locations and the art work was new and amazing. Cinematography by Marcin Laskawiec was one of the greatest things in this movie. The stunts and the action sequences were super and the credit for this should be given to Struthers and the production house Yasraj films. Overall, the film is a good effort as a sequel to Ek tha tiger, Almost all the factors of Ek tha tiger were continued in this movie and eve it had a few new things. This movie for the first time has shown some thing like India - Pakistan combined work. This, movie has also depicted the richness almost equivalent to that of Hollywood. If you are a fan of Salman then you should not miss this action thriller. If you go to theatre expecting some action and salman’s acting then its good entertaining movie for you. But if you go carrying the expectations of watching something new then you would get disappointed. But the family audience may find it little bit uninteresting due to the loads of action sequences.
