Tiger Airways is one of the budget airlines operating out of the Changi Airport Budget terminal.The budget terminal is better than Chennai international Airport .
Though it is not fancy like the main terminals , it is quite clean.The staff at the airport counter are very helpful but be aware that if your luggage is overweight they will charge you 15 SGD per kilo, so please weigh your luggage at home or you can do the same at the airport also.Since it is a budget carrier they will charge for extra baggage unlike AI where the staff is not strict.
After checking in the baggage and completing the formalities we went to the waiting area.The plane is very spacious (better than AI) and clean, the staff is also very helpful.No refreshments are provided and you have to buy them.Ths prices are affordable, I ordered a sandwich which was quite good.The plane has no in flight entertainment , but you are provided a book on tiger tales and you can but Tiger airways goodies also.Be on a lookout for Tiger Airways offers on their site, I got two tickets at the cost of one AI ticket.
