Tikona Broadband :- Hopeless Service

I had taken the 1 MB unlimited Plan of Broadband Connection of Tikona at my residence in April 2013. for the first two months there were no issues, I got good service, some times the speed would go low but on contacting, the service was prompt.


But after two months time the services started to steadily decline. The speed of the internet would become very low up to 150 kbps download speed, when we contacted the customer care help line, the connection would be restored, which would work for an hour or so and then gradually slow down, and  in this way we had to repeatedly contact the Customer Care to get proper speed.


The Internet Connection started invariably failing on  on Saturday and Sundays, and when ever contacted, I would get the standard reply, that an Engineer would visit and attend within 24 hours. But the Engineer never came, they were able to restore the connection from remote.


Now after 4 months it has become a standard practice that Saturdays and Sundays invariably the internet connection fails to work. It is perhaps that on weekend there are more subscribers hooked on to internet and they are not able to manage so many subscribers in the bandwidth allotted to them.


So they isolate some of the subscribers  so that the system can become manageable. The Helpline is also very slow and it takes you through the IVR routine and it takes up to about 15 minutes before you can talk to customer care executive, who repeat standard dialogues like a parrot without offering any solution.


The best solution you can get is that within 24 hours the Engineer will come, but the engineer never pays a visit, they clandestinely restore the connection also without informing, so that they can have an alibi that we had restored the connection within one hour two hour or whatever,


The local staff and the area Manager at Delhi, Mr Khan simply dont attend to the calls of the customer come what may.


Cons:-


Earlier I was using MTNL Broadband Services which was the worst system on this planet.


There could not have been anything worse than their services, I rate Tikona only a shade better than the MTNL
