100% Horrible Experience with Tikona in Bangalore

This is the first time I decided to review! I took a Tikona wired internet connection with 3 months advance rental in Bangalore in May 2016(yes 7 months back!), thinking a wired connection would be better and faster than a wi-fi one.


Right from day 1, I had frequent disconnection and speed issues. I called up their customer service and a service engineer was assigned promptly, the contact details were SMSed to me. I had to follow up and chase the service engineer as he didn’t turn up in 24 hours, but he was not interested in attending the case. I got the first taste of their customer service. I called up their customer care and another engineer was assigned. Luckily, this time the engineer came, but he couldn’t fix the issue. Within the next few days, few more senior engineers/technicians attended, tried everything possible and concluded that my location is NOT FEASIBLE for a Tikona connection. But, none of them had the courage to update the same in their system(I understand it is an internal issue, may be linked to their performance!). I started following up on disconnection and refund from Jun’16 first week and I started seeing their real face. There is literally no action taken on the closure for more than 5 months. Every time I call up they would take a new request and conveniently forget the old requests. It was so frustrating. The attitude of the customer care executives barring 1 or 2, was nowhere close to caring for a customer. It was clearly evident that they are not keen on refunding my money! Many times, I asked for speaking with a senior management representative, but I was always told that it’s not possible. I strongly doubt if the management knows what’s the ground reality on customer service! In Oct 16, I managed to get them to collect the modem and other accessories from my place after repeated follow ups. I was told that the refund would hit my bank account in 2 weeks time and I don’t need to worry or follow up! Today, on 7th Jan 17, I called them to check the refund status and the executive(Moiz Hussain) offered to raise another ticket for the same. The only thing the seem to know is to open a new request every time someone calls. I repented taking Tikona’s connection and now I am thinking to approach the Consumer Forum if I don’t get my money in next 2-3 working days. Friends, beware of Tikona. Think not twice, 100 times if you decide to go for it. It’s my personal experience and of course, you have a choice. I am giving 1 star as there is no option below that!
