Seeing good rating on mouthshut.com I opted for Tikona. But its been my worst experience ever with any broadband connection company.
I opted for 4 mbps - 20GB plan with an advance payment of 2360 including installation charges. Right from installation on 10Jan15, the connection was breaking every 10 minutes. I reported this multiple times. But no engineer from Tikona service could ever understand the problem and every time they will say it is resolved which never happened. Every time the engineer will come and ask "what is the problem?". These guys dont even maintain history of problems, if the previous problem is not resolved they should at least know about the problem. It is very frustrating that every time you have to tell them the same story. In my experience the **technical support engineers are highly incompetent**.
After frustrating 3-4 attempts with customer care and technical engineer visits, I requested for disconnection on 4Feb15 which was not even a month of usage and I still had more than 15 GB left in my account to be used. I received an email requesting for 15 days of disconnection procedure which I allowed them as last chance for resolving the issue. It was surprising that in all these 15 days I received call very late after disconnection request and again in this duration the engineer who called asked me the same question "What is he problem?". Even after disconnection request, Tikona was not serious about the problem and never talked about history of problem. During disconnection period of 15 days Tikona did not show any sincere effort in resolving the problem. When their engineer called I had to explain whole thing again and had to repeatedly ask for sending a senior guy who can understand and resolve the problem. Whoever came again failed in understanding it and left without resolving the issue.
I received termination email from Tikona on 21Feb15 and the modem was collected on 26Feb15. **To add to peak of frustration, the guy who collected modem handed over termination letter to my wife saying that your connection is terminated due to outstanding payments. The most unethical way of handing disconnection request ever seen*
*In all this period Tikona never talked about refund and I am still following up with them about refund**.
*I would never recommend Tikona broadband to anyone! Guys, stay Away from Tikona Broadband!*
